CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Let's embark on a journey through the fascinating world of European art with our new course,  “Rendezvous with Art.”

Designed for teens, this course invites students to experience art in a fresh and personal way. Through 10–15 engaging sessions, we’ll dive into the stories of artists, their masterpieces, and the movements that shaped the art world over four centuries.

Each class will be a unique conversation about:

  • A celebrated artist and their life.

  • An iconic masterpiece that changed the way we see the world.

  • A trend or movement that redefined art during its time.

Rather than following a strict timeline, this course is about making connections — between artists, their work, and the world we live in today.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Uncover the meaning behind famous artworks.

  • Explore how historical situations might influence artists.

  • Develop skills to analyze and discuss art.

  • Understand how art evolves and reflects changing societies.

  • Discover the timeless relevance of art in our lives.

How We’ll Learn:
This isn’t just a lecture—it’s a dialogue.

  • Participate in lively discussions and debates.

  • Explore visual presentations and multimedia.

  • Create your own interpretations of iconic styles and techniques.

Class Materials:
We’ll use visual aids, videos, music, and a variety of resources to make each lesson dynamic and immersive. Students will also have access to supplementary materials online for further exploration outside of class.
